All material submitted for advertising consideration is subject to approval by the Board of Clermont County Commissioner/Clermont Transportation Connection (CTC). The advertising material must, to the fullest extent possible, enhance the environment of CTC vehicles as well as CTC’s standing in the community. In determining whether to accept advertising, the County will give consideration to the social, moral, and political views of the audience that can be expected to be exposed to the advertising. In this respect, the County will not accept any advertising that is unlawful, construed to be sexually explicit, inflammatory, defamatory, or offensive to good taste.
Examples of advertising material that will be excluded under this policy include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Advertising that 1) when taken as a whole and applying contemporary community standards appeals to the prurient interests of the average person, and 2) depicts or describes, in a patently offensive way, the sexual conduct specifically defined in O.R.C. Section 2907.01
2) Advertising that is “obscene” as that term is defined in O.R.C. Section 2907.01(F)(1)-(5) 3) Advertising containing sexually explicit messages or graphic representations or containing an offensive level of sexual overtone, innuendo, or double entendre
4) Advertising of contraceptive products or hygiene products of an intimately personal nature
5) Advertising containing foul or inflammatory language
6) Advertising that is “harmful to juvenile” as that term is defined in O.R.C. Section 2907.01(E)(1)-(7)
7) Advertising of alcoholic beverage products
8) Advertising for political candidates, levies, bond issues, or any other political issue to be placed on or is on the ballot.
Notwithstanding any provision in this Policy to the contrary, the County reserves the right to refuse or terminate all advertising.
