CTC Expands Express Service in New Richmond

Free Rides Offered!

Batavia, Ohio.  Clermont Transportation Connection (CTC) will expand express bus service between New Richmond and downtown Cincinnati, on Monday, February 4, 2008.  An additional daily route will pick up passengers at the Rivertown Market, located at 1041 Old U.S. 52 at 6:45 a.m. and will drop them off at one of four bus stops in Cincinnati.  CTC will then pick up passengers at 4:45 p.m., with a scheduled drop off at Rivertown Market.  This route will be in addition to the 7:15 a.m. daily express route between New Richmond and Cincinnati that includes a 5:15 p.m. return time.

“We decided to expand service in New Richmond because of increasing demand,” said CTC Director Ben Capelle.  “With rising gas prices, more people in the area are looking for a way to cut driving and parking costs.”

CTC will be offering passes for 10 free rides during the first week of service.  “We believe that riding the bus should be as easy, if not easier than driving your car,” said Capelle.  “We hope the free passes will entice people to try CTC.”  To obtain a free 10 ride pass, call CTC, or simply ask for one from the express service bus driver.

CTC is the primary provider of public transportation in Clermont County.  Founded in 1977 as CART (Clermont Area Rural Transit), CTC has continued to evolve and now offers two fixed routes, in addition to its Dial-A-Ride services.
