Check your cell phone or e-mail; it could be an important message from Clermont Transportation Connection (CTC)! This week CTC began offering customers an opportunity to sign up for the transit service’s e-mail alert system. “This service was really beneficial when many downtown Cincinnati businesses decided to close early because of bad weather,” said CTC Director Ben Capelle. “We were able to notify many of our customers that busses would be available to transport them home at an earlier time.”
By visiting the Web site www.ctc.ClermontCountyOhio.gov, customers of the service can sign up for the updates. “I think some people have been reluctant to take the shuttle service because they are concerned they could be stranded if their office closed early,” said Capelle. “We think this will help ensure that we address the needs of the community.”
CTC is the primary provider of public transportation in Clermont County. Founded in 1977 as CART (Clermont Area Rural Transit), CTC has continued to evolve and now offers three fixed routes, in addition to its Dial-A-Ride services. CTC also provides all the funding for Metro Routes 82X, 28, & 28X.
