Batavia, Ohio. Clermont Transportation Connection (CTC) will expand the number of bus stops on route 2X New Richmond Express, on Monday, April 21st, 2008. The existing route picks up passengers at the Rivertown Market, located at 1041 Old U.S. 52, several new bus stops on the river side of Old U.S. 52 will be added, along with an additional park & ride area located just across the street from the village administration building.
“10 Bus stops will be placed along the new route in the village, they will be signed with 12” x 18” street signs that list the route number and CTC contact information.” said CTC Director Ben Capelle. “We are adding these bus stops to better serve the village area, Old 52 can be a major barrier for people who do not have cars, or wish to walk to a bus stop.”
Current passengers will see no change in service, the bus will stop at the new park & ride 10 min before the current one and the downtown times will stay the same. The new schedule is below:
Front St. Park & Ride Rivertown Market Park & Ride 6:35am 6:45am 7:05am 7:15am CTC will continue to offer free 10 ride passes to first time riders. “We like to let people try the service free of charge because it is difficult for people to leave the convenience of their car behind. To obtain a free 10 ride pass, call CTC, or simply ask for one from the express service bus driver.
