Route 3 Frequently Asked Questions

Q.   Do I need to schedule a ride on the bus?

A.   No, this route works just like a METRO route, all passengers have to do is stand at a bus stop and the bus will stop and pick them up

Q.   Does this bus route go to downtown Cincinnati?

A.   No, but it will connect with METRO routes 28 & 28X, passengers will be able to transfer bsues and get downtown

Q.  Why is CTC adding this service?

A.  CTC currently receives a large number of requests for service on it's Dial-A-Ride service in this area which CTC cannot provide.  This service will provide better, more regular service to the area.

Q.   What will the fare be?

A.   $2.00 for adults, $1.75 for students & $1.50 for seniors, persons with disabilities, and children.  For more information please visit the fares page.

Q.   Is CTC going to use the little buses they already operate?

A.  Yes, the buses CTC will use for this route will be very similar to the buses CTC currently operates.  They will have an electronic destination sign.

Q.   Are the only bus stops the red dots on the map?

A.   No, there will be over 125 bus stops along the route, the red dots are the places CTC publishes a time.  All bus stops will be marked with CTC bus stop signs.

Q.   When does the route start?

A.   A final data has not been selected, we are still working out the final details.

Q.   Will this change anything with the Dial-A-Ride service?

A.   No, all Dial-A-Ride services will remain the same.

Q.   Does CTC accept "Commuter Checks?"

A.   Yes, CTC accepts "Commuter Checks."  They are treated just like personal checks, CTC will not give change or credit.

Q.   Can I use a METRO pass on CTC?

A.   No, CTC does not accept METRO passes
